Top 8 most popular ingredients for beauty drinks

Beauty drinks category is a quite new category in beverage sector. As it is always being said that for a healthy being one of the most important things is water, it seems that it is not enough in nowadays.

As a beverage development company we help our clients to develop and launch their unique beauty drinks. Here is the list of top ingredients which are being used for beauty drink:

Vitamins and minerals – vitamins and minerals are perhaps most commonly used ingredients in beverage market.  As A, D, E and K vitamins were known as non soluble in water vitamins, it became a challenge to innovate new soluble forms as these vitamins are very important for eyes, skin and working as an antioxidants as it might create a strong impact for your appearance and health.

Goji Berry juices   – extremely antioxidant-rich, offers skin soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, helps with healthy skin circulation.

Pomegranate Juice – antioxidant powerhouse; contains ellagic acid, a polyphenol that reduces collagen breakdown and inflammation in skin cells; promotes brighter complexion and firmer skin.

Callogen – about one quarter of all of the protein in your body is collagen. Collagen is a major structural protein, forming molecular cables that strengthen the tendons and vast, resilient sheets that support the skin and internal organs. Bones and teeth are made by adding mineral crystals to collagen. Collagen provides structure to our bodies, protecting and supporting the softer tissues and connecting them with the skeleton. But, in spite of its critical function in the body, collagen is a relatively simple protein.

Hyaluronic acid (HA)-  is one of the skin’s most important components for hydration and moisture retention. The nature of HA’s molecular structure makes it ideal for attracting and holding water. Nearly 50% of the body’s HA is found in the dermis, in the spaces between cells (extracellular matrix). HA along with dermatan sulfate, serves to maintain the water balance in the dermis and adds support for other dermal elements like collagen and elastin.

Lutein –  provides nutritional support to our eyes and skin – the only organs of the body directly exposed to the outside environment.  Lutein has been linked to promoting healthy eyes through reducing the risk of macular degeneration.

Selenium – can help protect the skin against sun damage and skin cancer. And it may actually reverse some of the discoloration and wrinkles associated with aging. This antioxidant work by speeding up the skin’s natural repair systems and by directly inhibiting further damage.

Coenzyme Q10 is a natural antioxidant in the body that helps the cells grow and protects them from the ravages of cancer. A drop in natural levels of coenzyme Q10 that occurs in our later years is thought to contribute to aging skin. A study published in the journal Biofactors found that applying coenzyme Q10 to the skin helped minimize the appearance of wrinkles. Most studies conducted so far have used a 0.3% concentration of it.
